MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of the VP of Operations, the Plant Manager will be responsible for implementing strategies, organizing and managing all production departments (planning, reception and management of materials, machining, painting, assembly, packaging and shipping). They will work to optimize methods and processes in order to continually improve the productivity and efficiency of manufacturing operations (in a team with other managers as well as with their employees).

Examples of some responsibilities:
- Ensure training program is maintained, accurate, and current with operational needs.
- Cultivate a career growth mindset in Operations, creating opportunities for shop floor workers.
- Ensure EH&S standards (US and/or Canadian health and safety standards) are designed, implemented, compliant and maintained as well as roles and responsibilities are clear.
- Recruit, train, and manage plant personnel, including production supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff.
- Ensure employees are motivated, well-trained, and adhere to company policies.
- Work as a collaborative member of the Ranger team and that all team members work in similar fashion.
- Acting as a trusted coach for the team.
- 100% on time deliveries to customers (98% OTD is meets expectations).
- Execute production plans (MPS) to meet production targets and customer demand while optimizing resources, including labor, machinery, and materials.
- Ensuring products are produced with the highest standard of quality, and assembled in accordance with WSM standards, and SOP’s.
- Ensuring the that the EPPM (Error Parts Per Million) is at an acceptable level.
- Ensuring that CAR’s (Corrective Actions Requests) are completed when requested by Quality Engineer
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or operations management or other relevant training.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a plant manager in a manufacturing company.
- Managerial courage.
- Good practical and strategic vision.
- Strong skills in planning and organizing work.
- Knowledge of “lean manufacturing” and change management.
- Experience in quality and health and safety assurance or control.
- Ability to manage numerous files at once.
- Ease of developing innovative solutions.
- Results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication.
- Rigorous and committed to a job well done.
- Knowledge of management software systems such as ERP.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
- Positive influential leadership – ability to lead and manage a team to achieve plant production goals.
