The Ranger Design Procurement Specialist plays a vital part in the planning, scheduling and ordering of input material. While the function of Procurement Specialist remains the same, the role is constantly evolving and changing to keep pace with Ranger Design’s rapid growth. Daily use of established procedures for tracking suppliers, analyzing information and creating reports continuously combine with new technology and better ways of gathering and evaluating data. Taking action based on accurate analysis and interpretation of various reports is a requirement.
To successfully carry out the responsibilities of this position, the Procurement Specialist must pay close attention to many details while maintaining a grasp of the corporate goals and those of the Supply Chain department.
The accountabilities for this position are:
- Develop and manage supplier relationships of quality, trust and delivery effectiveness
- Plan and purchase products in the most efficient, economical and timely manner possible
- Maintain and audit all planning parameters for assigned part numbers
Working closely with a team of 3 other Procurement Specialists and other Supply Chain team members, you will collaborate and strategize on approaches to develop and optimize world class processes and to create tools that improve supplier quality, error reduction, on time delivery scores, and inventory turns.
Results are what drives and motivates the Procurement Specialist at Ranger. Successfully reaching the team’s targets and contributing to increased profit for the company is the ultimate reward. This is a consequence of monitoring specific KPI’s and then making optimizing process adjustments and finally reviewing the results and comparing against the expected outcomes. Experience, Skills and Abilities
5+ years’ experience in supply chain or procurement
Bilingual English and French
Advanced Excel skills
Database management, understanding of Oracle, SQL Server, Access
Programming in VBA, SQL,
Minimum Bachelor degree in Operations or Business
CPIM or CSCP is a plus
Salary- $60K – $70K
